Hands In The Soil

We have a small 5 acre farm in Elmira. We raise chickens that are allowed to free range and are fed only local organic feed. We have two bee hives that house very happy bees. They are in the orchard and garden with plenty of flowers and water to keep them healthy and active. We grow many vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers in a sustainable manner. We strive to buy local, be sustainable and lessen our carbon footprint. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides on the property. We are working toward our organic certification.

No herbicides or pesticides are ever used on our farm. We use compost/chicken manure, companion planting, cover crops and crop rotation to keep our plants strong and healthy without the use of chemicals. We harvest rain water, compost, recycle and reuse.
